pi-shannon-statusline terminal HUD preview

pi-shannon-statusline

Live ANSI HUD for Pi with project, model, context, throughput, tool, agent, and configuration state.

Install

pi install npm:pi-shannon-statusline

From a checkout:

Run state

The last line mirrors Pi's own program status (the one Pi reports to the terminal over OSC 7501), so the HUD and the terminal agree:

State	When
`◦ idle`	nothing is running
`↻ working`	a run or a compaction is in progress
`⧗ waiting for user`	a dialog or login is waiting on you, with its title
`✔ done`	one run finished
`✘ error`	the run ended on an error

done means one run finished and nothing further will happen automatically. It is not a judgement about the work: it does not mean tests passed or the result was accepted. A run you cancel reports idle, not done.

Option	Type	Default	Effect
`rain`	boolean	`true`	Show the matrix column.
`rainChars`	string	built-in set	Characters used by the matrix column.
`footer`	boolean	`true`	Show Pi's built-in footer and extension status rows.
`throughput`	boolean	`true`	Show response metrics on line 3.

Configuration is read on every HUD refresh. footer: false hides Pi's footer without hiding the Shannon HUD.

Metrics

TTFT: time from before_provider_request to the first assistant delta.
Decode: client-observed output rate; ~ marks an estimate.
Input/TTFT: client-side input rate estimate.

Requirements

Pi >= 0.84.4.
