pi-clearer-answer

Make Pi's English answers clearer and more concise with a reusable prompt template.

The prompt uses Google developer documentation style and approximately 80% ASD-STE100-inspired controlled English. ASD-STE100 is a controlled-language specification for Simplified Technical English. This package does not claim formal compliance.

Install

Install from the package directory:

pi install ./

Use

  1. Run /reload in an active Pi session after installation.
  2. Run /clearer-answer to send the writing rules to the current conversation.
  3. Ask your question in the next message.

The template requests these rules for every English answer. It does not change rules for other languages.

Writing rules

  • Start with the answer, result, or required action.
  • Use direct language, active voice, and clear subjects.
  • Keep sentences short and use common words.
  • Use consistent terms and explain unfamiliar technical terms.
  • Use clear headings and lists.
  • Separate facts, assumptions, recommendations, and limits.
  • Check and revise each English answer before sending it.
  • Keep technical accuracy when a style rule conflicts with it.

Limits

This package contains one Markdown prompt template. It has no executable extension code or runtime dependencies.

Pi expands the command into a user message. The package does not automatically inject rules before each answer. Prompt instructions guide model behavior but do not guarantee compliance.
