Readme
The coding agent with the IDE wired in, running natively on Termux. No proot.
Requirements
- Termux from F-Droid (Play Store builds are outdated)
- aarch64 (ARM64) or x86_64 device
- An internet connection for the ~145 MB download
Installation
One line — zero prerequisites:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/rexroze/omp-termux/main/install.sh | sh
Or via npm (needs nodejs first):
pkg install nodejs-lts
npm i -g omp-termux
[!TIP]
ompis on your PATH immediately — the first run downloads the official binary (~145 MB), verifies its sha256 checksum, and configures your shell (bash, zsh, or fish).
Usage
omp
How it works
omp ships as a glibc binary; Termux runs on bionic. This project
bridges the two with Termux's native glibc package — official upstream
binaries, nothing patched, nothing emulated. The launcher runs the binary
through a loader symlink named omp, so the kernel process name stays
omp — not a glibc loader. Full technical deep dive mirrors
opencode-termux.
Specifying a version
sh install.sh -v v18.0.11
Repair mode
If the binary is already downloaded but the wrapper is broken:
sh install.sh --no-download
Uninstall
sh install.sh --uninstall
