Miao Vision for Pi

Use Miao Vision from Pi to create evidence-backed local reports, posters, decks, and infographics. The package includes the miao-vision skill and a thin Pi extension that manages the local Review Viewer.

pi install npm:@miao-vision/pi

In Pi, use /skill:miao-vision for artifact workflows and /miao-viewer to start or reconnect to the local Review Viewer. Source data remains local during ordinary report, poster, deck, article, and validation workflows.

The extension does not download the CLI automatically. If the compatible miao-viz version is missing, it returns the pinned installation guidance from the bundled skill.

Global CLI and exports

All workflows use the compatible global miao-viz on PATH. If it is missing or incompatible, approve installation of the fixed recommended npm version. The package never installs a CLI or browsers silently.

Run /miao-viewer setup for PNG/PDF and existing deck PPTX export. After confirmation it reuses Pi dependencies, or installs fixed Playwright into ~/.miao-vision/playwright, and prepares matching Chromium. It does not modify your working project's dependencies. Run /miao-viewer status to see the actual CLI path, export environment, and current Viewer URL. The port changes on restart.
