pi-mini-agent
A minimal subagent extension for Pi.
Features
agenttool withexplorer,reviewer, andworkmodes- isolated child Pi process
- inherits the parent model and lowers the parent's thinking level per profile (explorer −2, reviewer −1, work −1)
- streams assistant and tool activity
- reports input/output/cache tokens and cost
- abort propagation
- disposable sessions
- configured extensions remain enabled in child processes
- per-profile tool allowlists, including extension tools
Install
pi install npm:@lincie/pi-mini-agent
Usage
// quick read-only discovery
agent { mode: "explorer", prompt: "Find the authentication flow" }
// deep read-only review
agent { mode: "reviewer", prompt: "Review the authentication flow for risks" }
// work mode can edit
agent { mode: "work", prompt: "Refactor X and add tests", cwd: "/path" }
The profile tool lists are defined near the top of index.ts. Add an extension
tool name to the specific profile(s) that should be allowed to use it. Child
processes load configured extensions, so extension overrides of built-in names
such as read and grep are used when those names are allowlisted. The
agent tool is explicitly excluded to avoid recursive delegation.
