riverdale-arc-loader
Arc pi package for the electionbuddy-app workspace template. Arc installs pi packages only from npm (exact versions); not from
git or a local path, so the project-owned adapter
(electionbuddy.com/.riverdale/harnesses/eb-arc) cannot be declared directly. This package is a
loader: at session start it finds that adapter inside the workspace and registers it. All policy,
hooks (Rust riverdale-hooks) and the riverdale_wave tool live in the project, not here.
Discovery is constrained to two candidate roots, checked in order: an absolute
RIVERDALE_PROJECT_DIR override (a relative value is ignored with a diagnostic), then
$ARC_WORKSPACE_ROOT/electionbuddy.com (ARC_WORKSPACE_ROOT must be absolute, else cwd is
used). No other directories are scanned. After resolving symlinks, the default root must still be
<workspace>/electionbuddy.com and the adapter must stay inside its root; anything redirected is
refused. The canonical adapter path is what gets imported.
Run the test suite with npm test (uses only node:test/node:assert, no dependencies).
Template wiring:
- pi packages:
npm:@electionbuddy/riverdale-arc-loader@0.1.0(Arc accepts exact-version npm specs only) - prewarm:
cd /workspace/electionbuddy.com && ./bin/dev arc riverdale install
Evidence it loaded: Pi stderr shows [riverdale-arc-loader] registered eb-arc from … right after
[riverdale harness] ARC adapter: … Rust hooks: riverdale-hooks vX.Y.Z, and riverdale_wave is in
the tool list. Without the binary, eb-arc blocks guarded tools with a setup error — by design.
