Devin provider for Pi

Pi extension that signs in with Devin OAuth and uses the Devin/Cognition backend as provider devin.

Install

pi install npm:pi-devin-provider

For an unreleased checkout:

pi install git:github.com/fadlee/pi-devin-provider@main

Use

Restart Pi or run:

/reload

Sign in once:

/login devin

Select a model:

/model devin/swe-1-7

List models in the terminal:

pi --list-models devin

Models

At session start, the extension asks Devin for the models available to the signed-in account. It registers only enabled models returned by Devin.

If no credential exists, the network is unavailable, or discovery fails, it keeps these fallback models:

  • devin/swe-1-7
  • devin/swe-1-6

Reload or restart Pi after signing in to trigger discovery for the new credential.

Status and quota

/devin-status

Shows the plan, daily/weekly quota usage and local 24-hour reset times, plus extra balance when Devin supplies them. If the quota service is unavailable, it still reports that the account is authenticated.

Troubleshooting

  • Not signed in: run /login devin.
  • Models missing or stale: run /reload or restart Pi while online.
  • A model returns an internal backend error: choose another model from pi --list-models devin; availability can vary per model and account.
  • Quota unavailable: retry /devin-status later. The command does not persist quota data or retry automatically.

Attribution

The OAuth PKCE flow, Devin model discovery, and Connect transport approach are adapted from oh-my-pi. This extension reimplements the minimal parts needed for Pi's global extension runtime.

Security

OAuth credentials are managed by Pi's credential store. The extension does not log tokens, callback codes, account identities, or raw API responses.
